Continuing Education Information

General Continuing Education (CE) Policies

Trainings to Keep You Safe, Certified & Compliant.

  • Refund and reschedule requests: Requests to cancel class registration or to reschedule must be done in writing via email and must be submitted at least two (2) business days prior to the class start time. Requests received after this deadline will not be honored and no refund is available.  Refunds will exclude credit card processing fees.
  • DOPL Uploads: In adherence with DOPL policies, continuing education hours are uploaded within one week of the class completion date. Once hours are uploaded it may take up to 24 hours to reflect on the DOPL website. Due to the DOPL one week policy, any changes that need to be made (for example: incorrect license number, not specifying licenses in other states, not submitting all license numbers, etc.)  must be done within a week of the course date. Failure to submit the correct Name and License number and for which state you need CE applied, may result in you needing to retake the course.  (See Refund and reschedule requests)
  • Webinar-style courses: In order for your simulcast course to be correctly recorded, you must submit the proper registration form AND you must log in to the online course with your First and Last name.  Failure to properly identify your participation in the class may result in you needing to take the course again. If there is any discrepancy, we need to be informed within one week of the course date. Webinar courses must be attended via visual interface.  Audio-only (call-in) participation will not be counted.
  • States other than Utah:  We make efforts to maintain course approvals in Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado.  We are not as familiar with changes they make to licensing laws and to CE requirements.  We provide certificates and/or uploads for courses taken in other states for the additional upload charge.  Requests for other states must be made AT THE TIME the course is taken.  Once the course is complete and uploads are completed in the one week time period after the course, we will not retro-active certificates or uploads to other state systems.

Below is a list of Continuing Education Courses we are currently offering, if you are a Contractor and are interested in a custom Continuing Education Course please contact Deanna at deanna@iecofutah.com

In adherence with DOPL Policies there is a one week grace period to submit ALL of your license numbers for upload. After one week we are not able to go back and upload hours on additional licenses from prior class dates. We understand this can be frustrating so please be sure to submit all license numbers before the start of you chosen continuing education course-
