Do you send out 1098-T forms?
We do not issue 1098-T forms, but you may still be eligible for tax benefits.
You can submit your tuition receipts along with our EIN (IEC Education of Utah – EIN: 26-2410808) when filing your taxes. Receipts can be accessed by following the instructions on our website under the "Transcripts and Tuition Receipts" tab.
Please consult your tax professional to determine your eligibility. If your tuition was reimbursed by your employer, you may not qualify for a deduction. Going forward, we recommend saving your receipts for tax purposes.

Do I have to have a job to start school?
While IEC of Utah does not require you to be employed to begin school, we strongly encourage it. To be eligible to take the journeyman exam, you must complete 8,000 hours of on-the-job training in addition to the four years of classroom instruction. The recommended path is to work and attend school at the same time so you can complete both requirements together. If you are currently looking for work, you can send your resume to info@iecofutah.com, and we will share it with our contractor members.
How do I register for school?
Begin by registering on the Student Registration Portal. First-year and transfer students must meet math requirements—either with an ACT score of 19+, a passing college math grade, or by taking IEC’s math test. Transfer students must also email transcripts to transcripts@iecofutah.com. Once approved, you’ll receive an invoice for books and tuition. Registration is complete after payment is made.
